Continuous Cycle Capping Machines
Continuous-cycle cappers operate with uninterrupted motion. These machines often compliment a series of other automatic equipment such as filling machines and accumulators. Power to the machine is controlled by a toggle switch and when turned on, the shaft begins to oscillate up and down causing the shell and insert to move in a helical motion. After setting the cap on the container, an operator waits until the up stroke to place the container under the shaft. After a few completions, the operator develops a natural feel for the machine’s rhythm and quickly increases productivity. The variable speed models allow operators to control the cycle timing which helps increase productivity and eliminate missed strokes.
